Rex Martin represents the Rural Jobs Coalition in Topeka, Kansas

2/6/2018
This morning, Rex Martin represented the Rural Jobs Coalition in Topeka, Kansas. He testified before the Kansas Senate Commerce Committee in support of HB2168 – the proposed ‘Ad Astra Rural Jobs Act’. The Rural Jobs Coalition urges the Kansas Senate to pass the bill and cites Kansas manufacturing employment at the lowest in a decade and in need of private sector capital infusion. Mr. Martin stated that outside of the Kansas City and related metro areas of the state, there is a critical lack of access to capital by rural small businesses. Rural Jobs legislation could do much to help improve the rural economy in the state.
